High importance
[edit]As the final deciding battle in the Genpei War, the battle of Dan-no-ura is of very high importance. The outcome here truly did determine the course of Japanese history. It is also one of the more interesting and important examples of naval tactics in all of world history. LordAmeth 16:51, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
tales of the heike is not a source
[edit]when writing about events which were written about in Tales of the Heike, remember that they must be verified with an independent source. This article reads like it was taken straight from the Kakuichi-bon version of that book. Heike is not a reliable source on it's own, and I know it's difficult to find English sources on events from early Japanese history, but we must try.
